Jacquelyn Cooper Cofer, 77, of Newborn, died April 8, 2011, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle of complications from Parkinson's Disease. The daughter of the late Robert Clarence and Era Mae Courson Lee, she was a graduate of Fulton High School. Mrs. Cofer loved to travel and enjoyed cooking and singing Gospel music. She was a Godly wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many.
Surviving are her husband, Ray James Cofer of Newborn; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Gary and Stephanie Cooper of Newborn, John and Brenda Cofer of Flowood, MS; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Cooper and Joel Butler of Valdosta, Elaine and John Deaton of Eatonton, Joan Smith of Matthews, NC; grandchildren, James, DeeAnn, Elizabeth, Beth, Paul, Jennifer, Stephen, John, Dona, Dana, Amy, Wade and Amanda; 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Cofer will be held at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Rev. Danny Sorrels and Rev. John Cofer, officiating, and interment following in Lilburn Memory Gardens, Lilburn, GA.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, April 10, from 2 to 5 PM, and Monday, April 11, from 6 to 9 PM.
