James Hopkins, Jr.

James Hopkins, Jr., of Covington, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at the age of 76. He was a loyal employee at Greenwood Ice Cream Company. When he was not at work, Mr. Hopkins enjoyed watching NASCAR, and loved Dale Earnhardt. Additionally, he collected guns and knives, and loved shooting his guns. He had a big heart for animals and cherished his cats and dogs. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Emory and Mary Elizabeth Hopkins; and his son, Jeffrey Hopkins.

His memory will be cherished dearly by his son and daughter-in-law, James Dean and Peggy Hopkins; sisters, Phyllis Knapp, Gloria Rhine; brother, Steve Hopkins; nephew, Greg Knapp, and wife Cindy; along with additional numerous nieces and nephews.
