James Leamon Smith

James Leamon Smith of Covington, passed away November 7, 2017, at 76 years of age. Mr. Smith grew up in difficult times and always said he would be the best provider he could be for his family - and he was! He truly loved his family and worked hard to give them a good life. Mr. Smith enjoyed playing golf and even though he was retired, he still spent time working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Leamon and Ilos Victoria (Johnson) Smith. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Ben Griffith of Covington; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Smith will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017, 4:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington with Pastor Donald Day officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the service, from 3:00 - 4:00 PM.
