Jane Hooper

Jane Hooper, of Covington, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the age of 81. Ms. Hooper was active in the life of her church, Newton Baptist, and was working with the children in Kid's Camp up until the time of her passing. She had a servant's heart and was happy any time she was volunteering and helping others. Ms. Hooper had a social and outgoing spirit. She enjoyed being a member of Fieldstone Estates Homeowner's Association, loved to exercise with her Silver Sneakers group, and was always up for traveling. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Jane Hooper; son, James Kent Hooper; parents, Julian Stokes and Sarah (Matthews) Kent.

Survivors include her daughter, Leslie Hooper of Cherokee, NC; grandson, Christopher Steven Hooper of Acworth, GA; sister, Louise Howard of Goose Creek; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Ms. Hooper will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019, 2:00 P.M., at Newton Baptist Church, 720 Jack Neely Road, in Covington, with Julian Mitchell and Perry Kirk officiating.
