Janice Marie Burkiett

Janice Marie Burkiett, of Milner, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the age of 67. Mrs. Burkiett was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She cherished her family deeply, especially her grandchildren, who were her prized possessions. A social and compassionate soul, she enjoyed family reunions, playing cards, and capturing memories through photography. Her garden was a reflection of her nurturing spirit, and her kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Mrs. Burkiett will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to family, and the joy she brought to every gathering. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Imogene; son, Michael; and granddaughter, Miah. 

Survivors include her loving husband, Kenneth Burkiett; children, Cynthia, Anthony (Amy), Shannon, Ethan; step-daughter, Misty (Jody); grandchildren, Ivy, Jeremiah (Alyssa), Dylan, Daniel, Carly, Christian, Aubree; great-grandchildren, Gracelynn, Caiden, Dakota; siblings, Debra, James, Ricky, Patsy.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Burkiett will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family Saturday, two hours prior to her service from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.
