Janice Marie Murphy passed away June 7, 2012, at her home in Mansfield. She was 51 years of age at the time of her death. Mrs. Murphy enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time on her computer. She loved her dog, Winnie. She also loved trips to the North Georgia mountains with her husband, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her best friends, Pam Murphy and Maryann Mayer. Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Coke and Winnie Louise (Carlile) Boss, mother-in-law, Jo Murphy, and her aunt, Sarah Bryant.
Mrs. Murphy is survived by her husband, Keith Murphy of Mansfield; daughters and son-in-law, Shalon and Brian McMonagle of Oxford, Kimberly Bell of Mansfield, Sheena Collins of Oxford; grandchildren, Eli and Hope McMonagle, Joseph De La Rosa, Jr.; sister, Gloria Stapp of Monticello; brother, Johnny Boss of Covington; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Murphy will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington with Dr. David Moody officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M.
