Access RoadJean Evelyn Jackson of Covington, passed away October 11, 2011, at the age of 74. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, in Covington. She enjoyed making quilts, working with flowers, and visiting the mountains; but her favorite time was Christmas. Mrs. Jackson was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Henry Lee Navarre and Charles Henry Jackson; great-granddaughter, Peyton Jackson; parents, Percy Monroe and Effie (Evans) Busby; and her brother, Thomas Busby.Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Douglas Casey of Covington, Suzanne and Frankie Johnston of Monroe; sons and daughters-in-law, Randall Navarre of Covington, Russell and Debra Navarre of Wetumpka, AL, Charles and Jody Navarre of Ellenwood, Malcolm and Tracy Navarre, Mitchell and Shawn Navarre, all of Covington; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Josey Calhon of DeRidder, LA, Charlene and Roby Stephens of Doniphan, MO, Alene Watkins of Marietta, Mary Ruth Daemer of Marietta, Linda and Patrick Beer of Hilton Head, SC; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Jean Busby of Ocala, FL; 2 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Funeral Services for Mrs. Jackson will be held Friday, October 14, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Canaan Baptist Church, in Covington, with Dr. Scott Caudill officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Thursday, October 13, from 6-9 PM.
