Jeffrey Marcelle

Jeffrey L. Marcelle of Covington passed away April 29, 2016, at the age of 75. Born in Trinidad, Mr. Marcelle moved to the United States in 1967. He worked as a boiler maker in New York City, for 30 years, before moving to Covington. Mr. Marcelle was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He liked listening to Jazz and Caribbean music, and he enjoyed gardening. Mr. Marcelle was a loving, energetic gentleman who cherished the time spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theophilus and Rosanna (Marcelle) Streete; granddaughter, Akila Marcelle, and his sisters, Veronica Hessic and Phyllis Williams.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Madonna Marcelle; daughter and son-in-law, LeAndra and Steven Thompson; son and daughter-in-law, Ian and Caroline Marcelle; five grandchildren; sisters, Agatha Marcelle, Verona Thomas, Marva Sealey; brothers, Lloyd Streete, Charlie Streete, Kenneth Thomas, Patrick Streete, Desmond Streete; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The Roman Catholic Funeral Rites will begin with a Rosary Service on Monday, May 2, 7:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are welcome to visit with Mr. Marcelle's family Monday, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 3, 2:00 PM, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 11524 Highway 278 NE, in Covington, with Father Roberto A. Orellana as priest-celebrant. The Rite of Committal will be held in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania under the direction of Doyle-Stonelake Funeral Home, 85 East Baltimore Avenue, Lansdowne, PA 19050. The location of the cemetery is pending and will be announced.
