Jerry Wayne Fisher

Jerry Wayne Fisher was born on May 4, 1949, to proud parents Niff and Alma Fisher. Jerry grew up in Porterdale, Georgia, with his sister, Rita and younger brother Jeff. Throughout his school years, Jerry excelled in athletics of all kinds, and was particularly a stand out in football. Jerry thoroughly enjoyed sports and was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends. Jerry will be missed by all who loved him and shared their lives with him. May he rest in peace with the Lord....He was preceded in death by his father, Niff Baxter Fisher.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Chris Ryder, Chasity and Doug Mealer, Letice Fisher; grandchildren, Chloe, Clayton, Corey, Mason, Addison, Jordan; mother, Alma Fisher; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Wayne Harper; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Shey Fisher; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Fisher will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, with Rev. J. Clifton Brown officiating. Friends are welcome to visit with the family one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
