Jerry Ward

Jerry Ward of Bluffton, South Carolina, passed away September 17, 2018, at the age of 74. Mr. Ward honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserves. He was a former member of Trinity Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia. Mr. Ward was a member of the South Carolina Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, Dr. George Mosse Chapter, Hilton Head, SC. He retired after 35 years of dedicated service with Georgia Power. Mr. Ward will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who leaves behind many cherished friends in Sun City Hilton Head, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his son, Adam Walden Ward; parents, Charles and Mary (Brown) Ward.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Gail Walden Ward; son and daughter-in-law, Chris Ward and JoEllyn Smith; grandchildren, Wade Ward, Cody Ward, Cameron Ward; sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Hill, Leisa and Marc Grace; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Joyce Ward; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private family visitation will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Jerry Ward.
