Mrs. Jimmie Norwood Gibbs, 83, resident of Williston, TN former resident of Covington, GA and wife of Warren Gibbs died Monday, March 12, 2012. Services: 4 PM Wednesday at Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville, TN with visitation one hour before service. Graveside Services will be at 4 PM Friday March 16th at Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington, GA. A visitation will be from 3 to 4 PM Friday at the Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home at 1215 Access Road in Covington, GA.
A Methodist whose interests included arts and crafts, Mrs. Gibbs also leaves her daughter, Dee Weedon (Oscar) and granddaughters, Katelyn and Emily Weedon, all of Memphis, TN. She is the sister of Margaret Henry, Jack Norwood, Joe Norwood and Gene Norwood, all of Covington, GA. Memorials requested to North Covington United Methodist Church, 5138 Emory St NW, Covington, GA 30209 and Williston United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 250, Moscow, TN 38057.
