Jimmy Minor

Access RoadJimmy Minor of Covington, passed away June 30, 2010. His family was the most important focus in his life. He was a proud grandparent, father, son, brother, and uncle. Mr. Minor provided care for his father, James, until his death. He loved gardening, sports, politics, hosting family holidays, being the family auto mechanic, and his dogs. Mr. Minor was preceded in death by his parents, James Lee and Francis (McDevitt) Minor; and sister, Teresa Brown. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Minor of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, James Lee and Coleen Minor of Tallahassee, FL, Scott Alva and Tammy Minor of Pearl River, LA, Mark Anthony Minor of Dacula; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Diane Minor of Covington, Michael Anthony and Angela Minor of  Hampton; sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret Head of Jonesboro, Sherry and Andy Cooper of Conyers;  grandchildren, William Minor, Luke Minor, both of Dacula, Skye Minor of Pearl River, LA. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., in Covington, Thursday, July 1, from 5-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 2, at 11:00 AM, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Roberto A. Orellana as priest-celebrant. The Rite of Committal will take place at Jonesboro City Cemetery, following the Mass of Christian Burial.
