Access RoadJimmy Purcell of Oxford, passed away May 7, 2012, at the age of 62. Jimmy was owner and operator of Purcell Plumbing. He was an excellent plumber, and loved what he did. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising cattle, and spending time with his family and friends. Jimmy is loved, and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sammy Purcell; and his step-father, Leon McDaniel.Survivors include his wife, Janie Purcell of Oxford; children, Russell Purcell of Lawrenceville, Stephanie and Greg Carter of Flowery Branch, Daryl and Julie Cato of Canton, Jason and Athenia Cato, Misty and Richard Curran, all of Covington; 9 grandchildren; mother, Carolyn Greeson of Covington; father, Edwin Purcell of Cartersville; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Rhonda Purcell of Covington. A Memorial Service for Jimmy will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Roebuck officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, May 9, from 6:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Abbey Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 68, Social Circle, GA 30025.
