Joan Presley

Joan Presley, age 77, of Conyers, passed away August 9, 2014. Mrs. Presley loved writing poetry and singing to her grandchildren while they were outside playing. She had a strong faith in God and a special love for gospel music. Mrs. Presley will be remembered for her great sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel Edmond and Ellen Elizabeth (Hammond) Neely; and former spouse, Mark (Buck) Presley.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Ronald Hembree of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Presley of Conyers, Danny and Karen Presley of Covington; grandchildren, Tonya Burnett, Danelle Breedlove, Walker Presley, Jed Presley, Hailey Robbins, Nick Hembree; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Tina Sullivan, Sara Neely, Elsie Johnson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Presley will be held Monday, August 11, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM.
