JoAnn Martin Williams of Conyers, passed away December 31, 2018, at the age of 79. An active and supportive member of Christ Cornerstone Church, in Covington, Mrs. Williams' life centered around both her faith and family. She was a precious wife, mother and grandmother who was known for her love of sewing. Mrs. Williams delighted in making clothes, costumes and quilts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Geneva Martin; as well as siblings, Frances, Jerry, Jackie, William, and Jim.
Survivors include her adoring husband of 61 years, Ted A. Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Debi and Ken Hall; sons and daughter-in-law, Ed and Peggy Williams, Doug Williams; grandchildren, David Hall, Von Gnatzy; sisters and brother-in-law, Lorene and Herbert Dyer, Betty Hicks; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Williams will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019, 11:00 A.M., at Christ Cornerstone Church, 1020 Oak Hill Rd, in Covington, with Pastor Darrell Payne and Pastor Chris Walden officiating. Interment will be held in Asbury Cemetery, Knoxville, Tennessee. Friends may visit at the church with her family, one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. Flowers are acceptable, or donations may be made to Christ Cornerstone Church.
