Joe Brown

Joe Brown, age 61, of Covington, passed away June 30, 2014. Joe was a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was an avid Yellow Jackets fan, and enjoyed riding motorcycles and collecting classic rock albums. Joe loved traveling, and was able to visit all 50 states and 32 professional baseball stadiums. He cherished his family dearly, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Ray Brown; and his sister, Dianne Turner.

Survivors include his wife, Huanne Brown of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Carly Brown of Atlanta; mother, Jackie Brown of Oxford; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Chuck Kerwin of Memphis, TN; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Joe will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014, 7:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Don Turner officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, two hours prior to the service, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
