Joe Parker

Joe Parker of Buford, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, and is now in heaven with his Lord and Savior and wife, Ruth Ann. He is survived by his son, Tim (Teresa); daughter-in-law, Jacquie Parker; grandchildren, Michael, Jamie, Wes, Casie; great-grandchild, Embry; as well as brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Parker.

Joe drove a truck from age 21 until he retired at age 71. He drove 25 plus years with Dart Container. He was generous to a fault. He enjoyed a hard day’s work whether it be falling a tree or tilling the soil. He cherished the first Sunday in October because this was our family reunion and family meant so much to him. There will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, please contribute in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
