Joe Lane Richardson

Joe Lane Richardson, of Covington, passed away February 14, 2024, at the age of 90. Mr. Richardson was a devoted Christian and attended services at Porterdale Baptist Church. He was very active in the Gideons Club and the Lions Club. Mr. Richardson was a kind and loving man, father, and grandfather. He had a heart of gold and was a wonderful husband to Laverne and a great father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Richardson; son, Jeff Richardson; and parents, Wilbur and Maggie Richardson.

Survivors include his wife, Laverne Richardson; daughters, Bobbie Mote (Ricky), Vicki Haney (Kenneth), Carol Stowe (Sammy); sons, Alan Richardson (Judy), Mike Dial (Cindy); daughter-in-law, Marsha Richardson; grandchildren, Amy Eller, Daniel Richardson (Jodi), Charlotte Meeks (Calvin), Benjamin Richardson (Alisha), Scottie Budd, Stacey Sigman (Michael), Chirsty Compton (Tommy), Sandi McDaniel (Andy), Ryan Dial (Rachael), Andrew Dial; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Richardson will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor David Wheeler officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Saturday, February 17, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
