John Patrick Barnes

Access RoadJohn Patrick Barnes of Covington, passed away February 23, 2011, at the age of 58. Mr. Barnes attended Red Oak United Methodist Church, and enjoyed eating, watching TV, and listening to music. When he was younger, he enjoyed traveling. Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Grady and Ruth Miles (Smith) Barnes; sister, Vickie Peplinski; brother, George Thomas Barnes. Survivors include his nephews, Andy, Sr., and his wife, Kenda Barnes of Covington, Paul, and his wife, Heather Peplinski of Westland, MI, William Barnes of Garden City, MI, Kenny Barnes, Jason Barnes, both of MI; nieces, Michelle Klump of Westland, MI, Donna Barnes of MI; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Barnes will be held Sunday, February 27, 2011, 3:00 PM, at Red Oak United Methodist Church, in Covington, with Rev. Miguel Velez officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., Saturday, February 26, from 6-9 PM.
