John J. Hudson was born in Jamaica, West Indies and passed away May 24, 2016 at the age of 89. After marrying he moved from Jamaica to Great Britain in the mid-50s, and then moved to the Unites States in 1968. He served as an Elder in the East Gun Hill Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in the mid-1970s. He worked at General Motors in Tarrytown, New York on the assembly-line building automobiles. He retired in 1990 to serve as a Regular Pioneer in the ministry for the next 24 years.
He lived in New York, North Carolina, Virginia and Georgia where he passed away peacefully in the company of his children. He made many, many friends, assisting many people in learning to love spirituality by studying the bible. Some he assisted in becoming dedicated and baptized servants of the Almighty God Jehovah. He loved to draw, paint, listen to Jazz music and was an avid ballroom dancer.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his wife, Monica Hudson, and parents John Hudson and Florence Maxwell.
Survivors include his sister Lueperta Hudson, daughters Paulette, Hilary, Winnifred, his sons John A., Ian Hudson (Sunji), grandchildren, Jordan, and Linneth Hudson, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
