In loving memory of John Seaborn Jordan, Jr., who peacefully departed on January 3, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love and cherished memories.

A man of integrity, resilience, and thriftiness, Mr. Jordan was a paragon of honesty and determination. His singular choice in footwear mirrored his steadfastness, embodying a simplicity that defined his character. Rooted in timeless values and traditions, he was truly one in a million.

Mr. Jordan's devotion to family was unparalleled. His love for his wife, children, and grandchildren knew no bounds. Beyond the human realm, he extended his compassion to his loyal companion, Diesel, showcasing a boundless heart for animals. Ensuring even the stray cats were cared for, Mr. Jordan's kindness resonated far and wide.

His resolute nature was reflected not only in his decisions but also in his commitment to his beliefs and values. A proud member of the Truckers Unions, Mr. Jordan found joy on the open road, steering his truck with passion and purpose.

As we mourn the loss of this remarkable man, let us remember the indelible mark he left on our lives. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration during these difficult times. In his departure, Mr. Jordan joins his son, Johnny Jordan, in eternal peace.

Survivors include his loving wife of 17 years, Brenda Jordan; children, Tammie Shumaker (Richard), Tina Jordan, Scott Jordan (Rhonda), Tilina Lewis, Tommy Jordan, Katherine Downer (Eric); 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; as well as brother, Jimmy Jordan (Jean).

A Memorial Service for Mr. Jordan will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Ken Sirmans officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to his service, from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
