John Kovalcik

John Kovalcik of Covington, passed away December 19, 2012, at the age of 82. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Lovingly referred to as Papa John, he was often considered a practical joker, he could fix anything, and he even made good pizza! He had a big heart, and was very charitable. Mr. Kovalcik worked in the auto industry, for 29 years, for Chrysler Twinsburg Stamping Plant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Rose (Vida) Kovalcik; and his sister, Rose Makara.Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Belleville of Covington, Christine DiCillo of Ohio; grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Peter, and Jacqueline DiCillo; sister, Cecilia "Dolly" Pnewski of North Royalton, OH; two nephews, Alan and David Pnewski.In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Kovalcik will be interred at a veteran's cemetery.
