Joseph Spencer Ashley

Joseph Spencer Ashley of Covington, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the age of 85. Mr. Ashely was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Air Force for ten years. He taught Social Studies, in Junior High School, for fourteen years. He enjoyed hunting, and loved serving the Lord by singing in several church choirs. Mr. Ashley was a devoted husband, and caring friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Phebe Smith; brothers, Charles Ashley and John Ashley.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth Ashley of Covington; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service for Mr. Ashley will be held Friday, October 16, 2015, 11:00 AM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Jan McCoy officiating.
