Joseph "Joey" Dahl of Atlanta, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019, at the age of 47. Joey was an artist, a man of many talents, and a Christian. He had a passion for music and enjoyed playing piano. In Joey's younger years, he played on a little league baseball team that beat China, wrestled for Rockdale County High School and was a member of the Boy Scouts. In addition, Joey liked to laugh, watch comedies, skateboard and cherished the time he spent growing up with his cousins, Chis Woodall and Tara Lovett. He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Dahl; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dahl, Mr. and Mrs. deBrabant.
Survivors include his mother, Susan Gray and husband, Ladd; sisters and brothers-in-law, Holly and Brad Burdette, Kelly and Cody Bellah; brother, Jonathan Gray; aunts, Pat Laird, Jerry Chastain; uncles, Buddy deBrabant, Gary deBrabant; as well as numerous loving family members.
A Memorial Service for Joey will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020, 2:00 P.M., at First Baptist Church, 195 North Cherokee Road, in Social Circle, with Rev. Mike Hardy officiating. Friends may visit with his family at the church, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M.
