Floyd StreetJosephine White Anglin of Covington, passed away July 28, 2011, at the age of 72. She was a native of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, but has lived in Covington for 53 years. Mrs. Anglin was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. She worked as a secretary for the FBI, when she met her husband, Bud Anglin. She was later employed by both Lithonia Lighting and the Newton County School System. Mrs. Anglin was a wonderful cook, and was known for her pies and cookies, especially at Christmas. She enjoyed arts, crafts, and both jigsaw and word puzzles. She loved her family dearly, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Henry (Bud) Anglin; and her parents, Glen and Edna (Stell) White.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Anglin and Jerry Woody of Conyers, Kim Marie Anglin and Keith Dalton; son, Patrick Glen (Rick) Anglin, all of Covington; sisters, Marilyn Johnson of Gowrie, IA, Linda Caldwell of Barnum, IA; 5 grandchildren, LeAnne Woody, Blake Anglin, Erika and Grace Dalton, Patrick Anglin; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Anglin will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, with Rev. Mike Hardy officiating, and interment following in Covington Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, July 29, from 6-8 PM.
