Joyce Crosby

Joyce Crosby, of Oxford, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at the age of 81. Mrs. Crosby resided in Newton County over the last 50 years, mainly living in Oxford for 34 years. She was a proud homemaker and took great pride in taking care of her family. Mrs. Crosby enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching. She was a loving mother and treasured the time spent with her children. Mrs. Crosby was preceded in death by her husband, James Crosby; and parents, Carl and Allie Page.

She is survived by her sons, Don “Jake” Jacobs (Betty), David Jacobs (Jamie); grandchildren, James Goodman, Jr., Jamie Lynn Goodman, Renee Goodman, Erica Jacobs Miller, Elaina Jacobs, Evan Jacobs, Jeremy Jacobs, James Jacobs; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Page, Willene (James) Cothren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Private Celebration of Life for Mrs. Crosby will be held at a later date.
