Joyce Woods

Joyce Woods of Oxford died December 26, 2010, at Newton Medical Center at the age of 80.  She was the daughter of the late John I. and Lizzie Bell Summers Norton.  She enjoyed shopping and loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Robert P. Burkins, Linda and Edwin E. Martin, all of Oxford, Carol Elaine Davis and Roger Digby of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, David Randolph and Wanda Woods and Robert Keith and Jannie Woods, all of Covington; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Woods will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with Pastor Austin Aldridge, officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home at 1215 Access Road, Tuesday, December 28, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.
