Judy Carol Brown, fondly known as Judy, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on December 3, 2024, in Loganville, Georgia, at the age of 76. Born on November 4, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, Judy was the beloved embodiment of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness throughout her life. Judy's early years in St. Louis laid a foundation of family values and joy that she carried into her later life. She found her lifelong partner in Ray Brown, and together they created a tapestry of life filled with love and devotion. As a mother, Judy's nurturing spirit shone through in the upbringing of her children and their spouses Libby Brown, Stacy and Jason Stewart. Kristen Brown, Brian and Renee Brown, Aaron and Holly Brown, and she instilled in them the virtues of selflessness and joy. A sister like no other, she shared an unbreakable bond with Mary Aldag, Janet and Fred Helvey, and Bill and Ellie Hall. Her legacy of love is carried on by her cherished grandchildren—Alyssa, Kennedy, Madison, Nevin, Taylor, Lucy, Haylee, Hunter, and Liv—as well as her adored great-grandchild, Salem Yancey, and by several nieces and nephews who she held dear to her heart. Judy graciously bore the title "popcorn mom" due to her tendency to shower her children with the same warmth and comfort as the beloved snack. Her passion for Italian cuisine was renowned among family and friends, and her cooking gatherings were always brimming with laughter and love. Aside from her domestic talents, Judy was also an exceptional seamstress, threading her care into every fabric of life. Well recognized for her selflessness, Judy always prioritized the happiness of others. Whether sharing her radiant smile, traveling to reconnect with family in St. Louis, or expressing her love for her dogs, Otto and Cody, Judy’s generosity of spirit was boundless. Moreover, her unwavering strength will remain an inspiration to all who knew her. To those who cherish her memory, Judy leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment to family, and a reminder of life's simple pleasures. Her footprint on this earth was gentle, yet her impact is indelible, warming the hearts of many. Judy, the epitome of a loving mother, wife, sister, Nana, and friend, will be profoundly missed and remembered with every joyous moment reminiscent of a life well-loved and well-lived.
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Brown will be held Monday, December 9, 2024, 6:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Darrell McGinnis Officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour to her service, from 5:00 – 6:00 P.M
