Judy Martin

Floyd Street Judy Martin, of Covington, passed away on September 6, 2012, at the age of 62.  Mrs. Martin loved the Lord.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.   She enjoyed shopping, loved the beach and the mountains.  She worked for the State of Georgia for 34 years.  Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Wayne Martin; parents, Melvin Hubert Lazenby and Emma Ruth (Johnson) Lazenby; and sister, Anita Cantwell.   Survivors include her husband, James E. "Joe" Martin of Oxford, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kelley and Michael Britt of Covington; son/grandson, Austin C. Wagner of Oxford; grandsons, Joseph and Joshua Britt of Covington; sister and brother-in-law; Gloria and Joe Jenkins of Maryland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Peggy Lazenby of Porterdale, Jack and Pat Lazenby of Covington, and Wayne and Cathy Lazenby of Covington; and several nieces and nephews.   Funeral Services for Mrs. Martin will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Rev. Darrell Allen officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, September 7, 2012, from 6:00-9:00 PM.
