Judy E. Mitchell, of Monticello, passed away May 11, 2015, at the age of 70. Mrs. Mitchell taught Sunday School, where she loved reading Bible stories to children with special needs. She enjoyed camping, spending the winter months in Florida, and working in her flower garden. Mrs. Mitchell cherished her family and enjoyed every minute she spent with them. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Blake and Buena Mae Hunter; and grandparents, Jessie and Della Johnson.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 50 years, Paul Mitchell of Monticello; daughters and sons-in-law, Renae and Russell Watts, also of Monticello, Sharon and Dondi Bonner of McDonough; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Leslie Mitchell of Cumming; grandchildren, Elizabeth Camacho, Clayton Watts, Jordan Wheeler, Rebecca Bonner, Hunter Mitchell, Hayden Mitchell; great-granddaughter, Sophie Rae Wheeler; and sister, Joice Weddington of Ashland City, TN.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mitchell will be held Friday, May 15, 2015, 1:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Darrell Payne and Pastor David Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens in Conyers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, May 14, from 6:00 - 9:00 PM.
