Julian Carroll Vaughn

Julian Carroll Vaughn of Covington passed away July 18, 2011 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle. He was 88 years old at the time of his death. Mr. Vaughn was a Mason and enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents, S.L. and Flossie (Bohannan) Vaughn; brother, Hollis Vaughn; sisters, Louise Jones and Florence Smith.
Mr. Vaughn is survived by his wife Hilda Malcolm Vaughn of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Vaughn and Larry Smith of Flovilla, Alicia and Edwin Allen of Mansfield; sons and daughters-in-law, George Kenneth and Theresa Vaughn of McDonough, Julian Sevice and Louise Vaughn of Milledgeville, Glenn Malcolm Vaughn of Lilburn, William Bryan and Vicky Vaughn of Brunswick; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Vaughn will be held at 11:00A.M., Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, with Rev. Wilson Wallace officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, July 19, 2011, from 6 - 8 P.M. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
