Katherine (Kat) Durham

Katherine (Kat) Durham of Mansfield passed away August 11, 2013, at Newton Medical Center. She was 66 years of age at the time of her death. Mrs. Durham was a resident of Tucker, prior to moving to Mansfield 15 years ago. She was a member of Beverly Road Seventh Day Adventist in Atlanta. Her main interest was her family, but she loved hummingbirds, dogs, flower gardening, and was writing her own Southern Cooking Cookbook. She was the fourth of 10 children and will be remembered as being completely devoted to her family. Mrs. Durham was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley Benjamin and Flara Bell (Aldridge) Allman.

Mrs. Durham is survived by her husband of 46 years, Carl E. Durham of Mansfield; sons and daughter-in-law, Kyle E. Durham of Tucker, John D. and Michelle Durham of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Johathan Riley Durham, Emily Anne Durham; sisters, Charlotte Mayo of Walnut Grove, Janet Cooper of Haihira, Alice Prophater of New London, NC, Robin Rudd of Indian Mound, TN, Joyce Jarrell and Denise Cooper, both of Moultrie; brothers, Edward Allman of Moultrie, Wiley Allman of Tallahassee, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Durham will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 14, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington with Pastor Parnell Aldridge officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, August 13 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
