Kathryn Elizabeth Honey

Kathryn Elizabeth Honey, of Newborn, Georgia, devoted wife and mother, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the age of 81. Family was one of her highest life values. She was a wonderful example of life and love. Kathy was the perfect hostess and entertainer. She loved decorating and entertaining family holiday events to bridge club friends. She was full of energy with vibrant personality. She was fashionable with a refined and timeless heart and appearance. Kathy had immense wisdom. When you were in front of her, she would make you feel like the most important person in the room. She had a dedication to prayer and generosity. She leaves a legacy of love, hope, and life for all to emulate generations.

Kathy was a member of Covington First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, gardening, and shopping

Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, William Ernest “Bill” Honey; daughters, Angela “Angie” Honey Martin (Scott), Karen Honey Gayler (Jim); son, William Edward "Bill" Honey; grandchildren, James Max Gayler (Jenn), William Zachary "Will" Gayler (Ansley), Jonathan Luke Gayler (Chelsey), Sarah Kathryn Stice (Shun), Savannah Grace Ugan, Anna Marie Martin, Jessica Honey Glanton (Sawyer), John Alexander Martin, Isaac James Ugan, Timothy Scott Martin (Tricia), Mary Sophie Honey, William Elijah Honey; great-grandchildren, Ellis Reagan, Penelope Rose Gayler, James Max Gayler, IV, Sutton Elizabeth Gayler, Reese Scot Martin, Grant James Martin, Ella Rose Martin, Clara Jane Stice, Agnes Faith Stice, Denver Honey Glanton

A Funeral Service for Kathy will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023, 4:00 P.M., at Eastridge Church, 863 Hwy 142, in Covington, with Pastor Scott Moore officiating.
