Kathryn (Kathy) Caldwell Miller, age 74, of Covington, GA, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle, GA. Born on May 21, 1945, in Telfair County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Otis Caldwell and Lois (Carpenter) Smith. She grew up in Helena, GA. In 1967, she married Thomas Miller, a Vietnam veteran. During his 20 years in the United States Army, they lived in Ft. Stewart, GA, Columbus, MS, Nuremberg, Germany, Albany and Marietta, GA. Mrs. Miller was a member of Victorious Life Church in Conyers, GA. She was preceded in death by her son, James Stewart Miller; mother, Lois (Carpenter) Smith; and father, Otis Caldwell.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, James Thomas Miller, III; sister, Linda Allison (Jim) of Nashville, TN; brother, Emmett Johnson (Patty) of Punta Gorda, FL; niece, Dalayna Cook of Nashville, TN; nephews, Timothy and Christopher Schmitt of New York City, NY, and several other nephews and nieces.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Miller will be Tuesday, July 30, 2019, 11:00 A.M., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, GA, with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Piney Mount Methodist Church Cemetery, in Wrightsville, GA, at 3:00 P.M. Rev. Ken Smith, Pastor of Community Praise Church, will officiate the service; and Sandy Miller Sindell, Mrs. Miller's sister-in-law, will conduct the eulogy and graveside service. Pallbearers are Jeff Kidwell, Lawton Miller, Lewis Miller, Nathan Miller and John Sindell. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle, GA 30025.
