Kayla Fletcher of Monticello, passed away July 14, 2011, at the age of 14. She attended Shiloh Baptist Church, and loved spending time with her church family. Kayla was a jokester always wanting to have a good time. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, swimming, music, singing, dancing, and playing basketball with the Monticello Hurricanes. Kayla loved her family and friends dearly.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Katrina and Roland Eaton of Covington; father and step-mother, Robert and Melanie Fletcher of Monticello; sisters, Ashley Fletcher, Kaylin Corbin, Emily Rooks; brothers, Gavin Fletcher, Zachary Fletcher; grandparents, Robert and Deborah Gladue of Mansfield, Deborah and Van Byous of Covington, Marlene and Randy Bradford of Auburn, AL, Elizabeth Patterson of Jackson, Johnny Livery of McDonough; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral Services for Kayla will be held Sunday, July 17, 2011, 3:00 PM, at Shiloh Baptist Church, in Newborn, with Pastor Danny Sorrells and Rev. Ricky Stubbs officiating, and interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Saturday, July 16, from 6-8 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
