Access RoadKenneth Leatherwood of Conyers, passed away July 21, 2011, at the age of 78. Mr. Leatherwood retired from Technicarbon, Inc., in Conyers, after 30 years of service. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorna Jean Leatherwood; and his parents, Thomas Harrison and Irene (Bloodworth) Leatherwood.Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Johnson of Chickamauga; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth D. and Shirley Leatherwood of Conyers, Richard and Sharon Leatherwood of Jackson, Terry L. and Rachel Leatherwood of Manchester, TN; 12 grandchildren, Katie, Thomas, Amanda, Diane, Teresa, Nikki, Ashley, Kaley, Dane, Kase, Crystal, Michael; 8 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Katelyn, Jordan, Kaelynn, Samantha, Christopher, Grayson, Katelyn; sisters, Mattie Earl Bruner of Ozark, AL, Hazel Free of Daytona Beach, FL; brothers, Roy Leatherwood, Max Leatherwood, both of Ozark, AL, Charles Leatherwood of Dublin; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Funeral Services for Mr. Leatherwood will be held Sunday, July 24, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with David Collins officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, July 23, from 6-9 PM.
