Kenneth Michael Sisson, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2024, in Covington, Georgia, at the age of 75. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, June 7, 1949, Kenneth lived a life full of love, generosity, and service to others. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Sisson and Mother Mary-Ellen Sisson. also preceded by his sister Patricia Hoff and brother Stephen Gregory Sisson.
He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Raymond Crowe of Covington, GA; and his son, Lonnie Sisson. Kenneth cherished his role as grandfather to Jasmine Crowe, Nicholas Rowe, and Lydia Crowe. as well as his niece Robin Hoff and his Uncle Joe Dowda. A proud veteran of the Marines, Kenneth served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. His patriotism and dedication to service were evident in every aspect of his life. After his military service, Kenneth thrived as a self-employed owner/operator, where he utilized his passion for working with his hands and building things. His keen craftsmanship and attention to detail reflected his dedication to his work and the pride he took in everything he did. A compassionate and generous man, Kenneth was known for his willingness to help anyone in need, often described as someone who would give you the shirt off his back. His deep love for animals was especially evident in the bond he shared with his cherished dog, Lucy.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home in Covington, Georgia. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am. Following the service, a graveside tribute will take place at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA, at 2:00 pm.
