Kimberly Layne Floyd

Kimberly Layne Floyd, of Covington, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the age of 61. Kim was raised in Grand Prairie, Texas, and moved with her family to Georgia in 1985 where she resided in Conyers and Covington areas for the last 31 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading Nicholas Sparks and James Patterson books and doing crossword puzzles. Kim loved her family dearly and adored the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lindsey Kate Floyd; mother, Brenda Marie Jepsen; father, James Sheppard; and brother, James Ray Sheppard.

Survivors include her loving husband of 31 years, Randy Floyd; daughters, Chelsie Coggins (Cale), Melissa Viney (Shawn), Taylor Floyd and fiancé, Schawn Worman; sons, Wayne Floyd (Jeanette), Tyler Floyd and fiancée, Katie Barr; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Brandon Jepsen (Allison), Bradley Jepsen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Kim will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington.
