Larry Mercer Edge, a devoted husband, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the age of 79. He dedicated 43 years of his life as a Material Manager at Lockhead Martin, contributing his hard work and dedication to his profession.
Outside of work, Larry was an avid supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs. He found solace in the serenity of fishing, cherishing his moments spent by the water. Family was at the core of Larry's heart, loving all, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Larry often chose to take scenic routes to enjoy the beauty of the world around him. He had a passion for cooking, especially during the holidays, where he delighted in preparing delicious desserts for his loved ones.
Larry Mercer Edge is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Tommy, and his parents, Mercer and Ruth Edge. He leaves behind cherished memories and a profound impact on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Survivors include his brother, Robert Lanier Edge; his sons, Jody Lanier Edge (Toni) and Stacy Lamar Edge (Jody); his grandchildren: Lauren Edge Anthony (Dan), Daphane Taylor, and Alexis Rhinna Edge; his great-grandchildren: Carson Anthony, Annie Anthony, Macen Edge, and Ella Anthony.
Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, January 15, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
