Larry Jenkins

Larry Jenkins of Oxford, passed away December 18, 2011, at the age of 64. Mr. Jenkins was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam. He graduated from Florida State University with his doctorate in Marine Biology. He loved fishing, hunting, working crossword puzzles, playing the guitar, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aldean Clayton and Virginia Estell (Pigott) Jenkins.Survivors include his wife, Karen Daves of Oxford; step-children, Donald Daves of Wyoming, Bill Daves of Conyers, Sandra Rushton of Conyers, 4 grandchildren; sister, Lynn Poole of Conyers; brothers, Charles Jenkins, Clayton Jenkins, Carlton Jenkins, all of Texas, Gary Thompson, Allen Thompson, both of Walnut Grove; nephew, Waylon Jenkins of Walnut Grove; step-mother, Joan Louise Jenkins of Walnut Grove. A Memorial Service for Mr. Jenkins will be held at a later date.
