Latrelle Head Wallace

LaTrelle Head Wallace, of Newborn, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the age of 83. Mrs. Wallace was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and adored her Sunday school class. She had a passion for singing and recorded a few records throughout her life. Mrs. Wallace enjoyed cooking and made the best beans, cornbread, and her specialty onions and potatoes dish, coddled potatoes. Additionally, she loved living on her farm and going horseback riding. Mrs. Wallace had a big heart for animals, especially horses and her beloved dog, LuLu. She was an extremely devoted mother, loving grandmother, and committed homemaker. Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle Lee and Grace Clayton Head; sister, Elizabeth Wheeler; and brothers, Doyle Lee Head, John Eugene Head, Sr., Levi Clayton Head.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Benton (Mike); sons, Chuck Adamson (Laura), Donnie Adamson (Lori); grandchildren, Michael Samuel Benton (Ansley), John Matthew Benton (ScottiAnn), Benjamin Daniel Benton, Lacy McKay West (Christian Alexander), Margaret Catherine Mon; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Wallace will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Danny Sorrells officiating, and interment following in Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, in Stockbridge. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday, June 12, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
