A loving father, husband, and grandfather

Lawrence Keever, 81, of Conyers, Georgia, passed away on May 19, 2024, following a prolonged illness. He was born in Hickory, North Carolina, on December 23, 1942, to the late Ivey Lee and Catherine Keever. He was one of four siblings and was raised in a loving Christian family. He attended Gardner Webb College, where he met his beloved wife, Penny. He later relocated to Atlanta and earned a business degree from Georgia State University. He had a keen interest in real estate and worked as a realtor for many years. He also relished being self-employed and managing his own businesses. He loved traveling, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was kind and generous,  would go out of his way to help others, and never met a stranger. He was an active member of Rockdale Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Penny Keever; his son and daughter in-law, Mark and Marda Keever; his daughter, Camilla Keever; his grand daughter, Samantha Keever; his sisters, Evelyn and Francis Keever; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A service will be held at Rockdale Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Billy Moss on June 8, 2024, with reception at 11am and service at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
