Leah Caldwell, of Covington, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at the age of 83. Mrs. Caldwell lived her life according to her faith so that people could see Jesus through her actions. She abided by her faith. Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Solid Rock Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Caldwell; son, Jimmy Terrell; parents, Rev. Dean and Electa Abendroth; and brother, Dallas Abendroth.
She is survived by her children, Denzil Terrell (Debra), Carla Jenkins (David), Katrina Stephens (Joe); grandchildren, Dean Terrell (Tammy), Stephanie Loew (Ryan), Andrew Terrell (Kenzi), Matthew Jenkins (Jenny), Michael Jenkins (Falesia), George Clackum (Laurin), Franklin Clackum (Lydia), Nichole Sorrows (Justin); 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Noble Lee Abendroth; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Caldwell will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022, 2:00 P.M., at Solid Rock Church, 1317 North Cherokee Road, in Social Circle, with Rev. George Clackum and Rev. Mike Franklin officiating, and interment following in Covington City Cemetery, Davis Street, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, on Monday, September 19, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Flowers are accepted, or in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Solid Rock Church Building Fund, 1317 North Cherokee Road, Social Circle, Georgia 30025.
