Leon Harper

Access RoadLeon Harper of Covington, passed away May 26, 2012, at the age of 80. He enjoyed golfing, cars, music, and wrestling. Mr. Harper was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Jo (Harper) Long; and his parents, John Calvin and Ada Sue (Curtis) Harper. Survivors include his wife, Sela Harper of Covington; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Anna and Timothy Hunt of Covington, Kelly and Michael Carter of Social Circle, Angie and John Hunt of Covington; 9 great-grandchildren, Dylan Long, Brianna Hunt, Ethan Hunt, Christopher Carter, Chelsea Carter, Mikka Carter, Haley Hunt, Kristen Hunt, Kayla Hunt; sisters, Geneva Stubbs, Scarlett Harper both of Covington, brothers and sister-in-law, Delano and Linda Harper of Covington, Larry Harper of Roswell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Funeral Services for Mr. Harper will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Dickie Johnson officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, May 30, from 6:00-9:00 PM.
