Lidiya Semenikhina, of Covington, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, at the age of 89. Mrs. Semenikhina was born in Siberia and moved to the United States in 1997. She was a member of Zion Christian Church and a devout Christian who prayed regularly. During her retirement, Mrs. Semenikhina spent her day raising her grandchildren who she loved and adored. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nikolay E. Semenikhin; son, Aleksey Semenikhin; parents, Arkadiy Leonov and Nataliya Leonova; sisters, Dina Trutanova, Mariya Elanceva; and brothers, Ivan Leonav, Michael Leonav.
Survivors include her daughter, Tamarea Batazhan (Viktor); son, Sergey Semenikhin (Irina); 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Semenikhina will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022, 12 Noon, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Anatoliy Kuisar officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour prior to her service, from 11:00 A.M – 12 Noon.
