Linda Hollis, of Covington, passed away on December 29, 2012, at the age of 68. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend to many. Her strong faith and love of the Lord kept Linda strong throughout her entire life. Linda's ministry encouraged and touched many in the community. She enjoyed puzzles, ceramics, quilting, gardening, crafts, and sewing. She also loved gospel music. She was preceded in death by her grandson, William Todd Moss; parents, Batson and Jessie Lee (Garrett) Goolsby; and brother, Bob Willis. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Kenneth Hollis of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Fran Hollis of Newnan; daughters and son-in-law, Cathy Whiten of Sugar Hill and Leigh and Todd Moss of Covington; 6 grandchildren, Kristina Hollis, Aaron Hollis, Lauren Whiten, Lindsay Whiten, Savannah Moss and Gracie Moss. A Memorial Service for Linda will be held Sunday, January 6, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Newborn United Methodist Church, 118 Church Street, in Newborn, with Pastor CeCe Nickolich officiating. In lieu of flowers, Linda wanted donations made to her church, Newborn UMC, in Newborn, Georgia.
