Lionell Hall

Access Road Lionell Hall, of Covington, passed away on December 26, 2012, at the age of 89.  Mr. Hall proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and Korea.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Hall; parents, Herbert and Bernice Hall; and several brothers.   Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth Gregory Hall; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Kent Hurd all of Covington; grandchildren, Katie Hurd of Conyers, Suzanne Smith and her husband, Travis of N. Augusta, SC, and Michael Hall and his wife, Kate of Plain City, UT; great-grandson, Boden Smith; brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.   Funeral Services for Mr. Hall will be held Friday, December 28, 2012, 12:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Tom Lee officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, December 28, one hour prior to the service at 11:00 AM.  Flowers accepted or contributions may be made in his memory to East Newton Baptist Church, 11290 Hwy. 278 E, Covington, GA 30014.
