Lorene Darby Rollins

Lorene Darby Rollins of Covington passed away June 10, 2013 at Riverside Health Care Center. She was 99 years of age at the time of her death. Mrs. Rollins loved playing cards, and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilmer Chambers, Harvey Rollins; daughter, Barbara Chambers; and her parents, Robert Newton and Lena (Parker) Darby; 1 brother; 1 sister.

Mrs. Rollins is survived by her sister, Sara McDowell of Rockmart; brother and sisters-in-law, Wallace and Lillie Darby, of Rockmart, Martha Chambers of Covington; brother-in-law, Warren Kirkus of Oxford; niece, Pat Daniel of Covington; as well as other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rollins will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Joe Peabody officiating. Interment will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M.
