Access RoadLossie Benjamin "Benny" Hall of Covington, passed away May 23, 2010, at the age of 75. Mr. Hall loved going to church, and served faithfully as a deacon at Milstead Baptist Church, in Conyers. He loved the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and enjoyed Braves baseball, working in his yard, camping in the mountains, and going to the beach. Mr. Hall was an avid coin collector and also collected soda can tops for the schools. He was very friendly to all, and never met a stranger. Most important to Mr. Hall was his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Mr. Hall's family would like to give a special "thank you" to his favorite nurses at Sacred Journey Hospice, Beth and Lori, and all the other wonderful staff members. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents, Lossie Benjamin Sr., and Genelia Pearl (Farrow) Hall; brothers, Howard Hall, Andrew Hall; and sister, Margaret Skinner. Survivors include his wife, Jan (Sears) Hall of Covington; son and his fiancé, David B. Hall and Hollie Stanford of Porterdale; daughter and her partner, Susan J. Hall and Dawn-Marie Taylor of Covington; grandchildren, Lauren Kelsey Hall, Avery Mayson Hall, Jordyn Madison Hall, all of Covington, Clint and Abigail Little, both of Lawrenceville; sisters, Ellen Hall of Milstead, Marylou Stansell of Pelion, SC; and his five beloved puppies, Little Bit, DJ, Jazmine, Codie, and The little white one (BB); and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Hall will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2010, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., with Rev. Wilburn Lewis and Pastor David Riley officiating, and interment following in Porterdale Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, May 25, from 5-8 PM.
