Lucile Bowles

Lucile Bowles of Covington, passed away September 25, 2015, at the age of 97. Mrs. Bowles was the oldest member of Porterdale Baptist Church, where she enjoyed working in the nursery. She retired from Bibb Manufacturing after many dedicated years of service. Mrs. Bowles delighted in working in her vegetable and rose garden and was an animal lover. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Bowles; mother, Corrie Ozburn; and sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Ozburn and Marie Ozburn Maloney.

Survivors include her niece, Carol L. Maloney; great-niece, Sharon Maloney; great-nephew, Luther Maloney; and numerous cousins.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. Bowles will be held Monday, September 28, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Covington City Cemetery, with Rev. Dickie Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, prior to the service, Monday, from 1:00 - 1:40 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions made be made in her memory to Porterdale Baptist Church, P.O. Box 637, Porterdale, GA 30070.
